Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between us (the service provider) and you (the customer) when entering into a contract for removal services. By accepting our removal service offer, you agree to be bound by these terms, which take effect immediately.

1.0 Using the Service

1.1 Accepting the removal service offer establishes a binding contract.
1.2 Acceptance can be made verbally or in writing.
1.3 A fixed-price packing service excludes the cost of packing materials unless explicitly stated.
1.4 A full packing service does not include unpacking.
1.5 You agree to use the service for lawful purposes and must not engage in harassment or cause distress.

2.0 Your Responsibilities

2.1 You or your representative must be present during collection and delivery.
2.2 You must arrange suitable parking at both locations.
2.3 Ensure that no items are mistakenly removed or left behind.
2.4 Disconnect all appliances before removal.
2.5 Empty and defrost refrigerators and freezers (not included in packing service).
2.6 Provide a signed and dated inventory list of transported goods.
2.7 Inspect your belongings for damage or loss on the moving day.
2.8 Full payment must be cleared before unloading. Partial payments cannot be withheld.
2.9 Ensure no prohibited items (see section 5.0) are submitted.
2.10 Guarantee that all goods for removal/storage are your property or that you have the legal right to act on behalf of the owner.
2.11 You bear full responsibility for any claims or costs resulting from violations of clauses 2.9 and 2.10.
2.12 We are not liable for damage resulting from your failure to fulfill these responsibilities.

3.0 Our Responsibilities

3.1 We reserve the right to subcontract part or all of the work, with these terms still applying.
3.2 We determine the best method and route for service delivery.
3.3 Your personal information is protected and will not be shared outside our organization.

4.0 Data Sharing

4.1 We may use your provided information for internal administrative purposes.
4.2 Your information will not be shared externally, except with insurance providers for claims processing.
4.3 We may display your testimonials on our website with minimal personal details.
4.4 We do not sell customer data to other businesses.

5.0 Items Not Suitable for Removal/Storage

5.1 Illegal items, including stolen goods, pornography, and drugs.
5.2 Hazardous items such as gas bottles, ammunition, and aerosols.
5.3 Valuables, including jewelry, watches, precious metals, and money.
5.4 Personal documents, such as passports, IDs, and visas.
5.5 Living creatures, including pets, fish, and reptiles.
5.6 Items requiring controlled environments (e.g., plants, perishable goods).

6.0 Additional Charges

6.1 Additional packing services not included in your final quote will be charged at £4.50 per box.
6.2 Understating or misrepresenting the volume of goods may result in extra charges.
6.3 Parking fines due to your failure to provide parking will be charged to you.
6.4 Reassembly services requested on the move day, not included in the quote, are charged £25 per item.
6.5 Dismantling services requested on the move day, not included in the quote, are charged £25 per item.
6.6 If the move is canceled, you must cover the cost of all delivered packaging materials as per website pricing.

7.0 Rights to Hold/Sell or Dispose of Goods

7.1 If prohibited items (Section 5.0) are submitted without our knowledge and not collected, we may dispose of them via a court order, with all costs payable by you.
7.2 If full payment is not received before unloading, we reserve the right to hold, sell, or dispose of your goods.
7.3 Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations, regardless of the reason.

8.0 Liability for Loss or Damage

8.1 We are liable for damages only if caused by our negligence during transportation or handling.
8.2 Compensation for loss or damage is limited to repair or replacement, considering the item’s age and condition.
8.3 Claims for lost or damaged items require payment for assessment.
8.4 If we agree to remove prohibited items (Section 5.0), we are not liable for loss/damage unless negligent.
8.5 If you request handling methods that increase risk, despite our advice, we are not liable for damage.
8.6 Claims for damage must be made on the moving day or within 7 days of the move.
8.7 We are not liable for damage to fragile items packed by the owner unless it would have occurred regardless of packing.
8.8 We do not accept liability for surface scratches if you reject additional wrapping recommendations.
8.9 We are not liable for internal damages to electrical appliances unless external damage is evident.
8.10 Delays in transit are only our responsibility if caused by negligence or breach of contract.
8.11 Our liability ends upon delivery completion.
8.12 If we assist in dismantling/reassembling self-assembly furniture, insurance does not cover damages.
8.13 Plants are excluded from liability, as they are living items sensitive to transport conditions.
8.14 If you request us to empty a loft, we are not responsible for damage to items, ceilings, or the loft itself.

9.0 Contract Termination

9.1 If cancellation occurs within 72 hours (3 days) of the move, a fine of 35% of the removal charge applies.
